Coledale is a small sea-side town approximately 18 kilometres north of Wollongong along the Princes Highway in New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the City of Wollongong. Coledale has a Soccer field that is the home ground for the Coledale Waves Soccer team. There are several shops on the main road, including a fire station and hospital. There are two beaches; Coledale Beach to the north of the town which is patrolled during summer and Sharkey's Beach to the south.

Coledale is one of the relaxed and friendly villages along the scenic ocean drive between Stanwell Park and Thirroul. The village has everything you need for your holiday including a video shop, a convenience store, a bottle shop, an RSL and a few cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful beaches run along the coast and offer some fantastic surfing, snorkelling, swimming, watersports and fishing with a boat ramp near by. There are 2 ocean pools within 10 minutes walk and an olympic size pool a few minutes drive away. Austinmer beach which won the "Best Beach in NSW" award is also close by.
