Mount Crawford has the only church in south Australia to be ever destroyed by an earthquake. Around the church is a lot of old graves well worth a look at. It is also home to the Mount Crawford Foresty headquarters. Every year the Birdwood primary school holds it annual fun raise call farm day. This is held in the forest in one of the camping grounds called chalks.
