Urbenville is a town in northern New South Wales, Australia. The town is located in the Kyogle Council Local Government Area, 822 kilometres (511 mi) north of the state capital, Sydney, and 155 kilometres (96 mi) south west of Brisbane. At the 2001 census, Urbenville had a population of 221.

 

Forestry and cattle raising are the main industries in the area. Four-wheel drive enthusiasts are users of the many nearby state forests and national parks. There are several volcanic plugs in the area. One, Crown Mountain, dominates the town's environs. Edinborough Castle and The Beehive are also in the area.

 

The forests around Urbenville have become a major destination for those with a 4WD. The National Parks and Wildlife Service have thoughtfully erected a large board aside the town's main thoroughfare (Urben St) with a map of the area which indicates the natural sites of interest and their whereabouts.
