Algester QLD

Algester

Postcode: 4115

The southern suburb of Algester lies just off the Mt Lindesay Highway, a major arterial road linking Beaudesert and Brisbane. This road gives the local residents and visitors direct access to the city and to the country towns of the southern quadrant of the south-east Queensland scenic loop and the national parks of the border ranges.

That southern section embraces towns such as Beaudesert, Mt Tamborine, Boonah, Kalbah, and across Cunningham’s Gap to Warwick. A detour through Canungra leads to the Lamington National Park and O’Reilly’s environmental rainforest resort.

The Logan Motorway just to the south of Algester fast tracks traffic to Ipswich, one-time bustling port and rival to Brisbane as the capital of Queensland, and the connector to the major highways to the Great Dividing Range and the west.
