Boondall is part of the Moreton Bay area, just 20 minutes from the Brisbane CBD and minutes from the entrance to the Gateway Motorway to the Gold Coast and its famous theme parks.

Brisbane’s largest Entertainent Centre is found here and the suburb has good public transport access by rail and bus. The suburb borders the beach suburbs of Nudgee Beach, Shorncliffe and and Sandgate.

It’s other claim to fame is the Boondall Wetlands environmental area that that hosts a diverse range of habitats for birdlife and plantlife. From September to March, the wetlands becomes home to migratory wading birds from as far away as Japan, Alaska and China.

Boondall Wetlands Area, a great place to learn about the mangrove, saltmarshes, grasslands and open woodland areas. Explore the 5 km wetlands canoe trail or walkd the raised boardwalks for interpretive signs, bird hides and animal spotting.

Nurri Millen sculptures, 18 cast aluminium totems found along the walking track at Nudgee Beach as part of the local indigenous culture.
