Doolandella QLD

Doolandella

Postcode: 4077

Doolandella is a semi-rural and still developing suburb 17 km south-southwest of the Brisbane CBD. Because of the rural and sparsely populated nature of the suburb, it is more often than not included in statistical reports as part of the nearby residential development of Forest Lake.

This is now changing, however, as Doolandella is experiencing considerable residential development.

The suburb has many opportunities for people interested in acreage lifestyle in a bush scape environment.

While there are no services such as schools or shopping centres in Doolandella itself, being so close to Forest Lake, the area has the advantages of this community’s amenities.

According to the 2001 Census (Doolandella was listed together with Forest Lake) there were 14,084 people living in the area with a median age of 29. The median individual income was between $400 and $499 per week. Of all occupied private dwellings 57% were either fully owned or being purchased; 39% were being rented.

There are plenty of great dining options in and around Doolandella. If you’re looking for a local café, take-away, pub or restaurant you’ll find it here.

Head over to Forest Lake for your regular shopping trip. There’s Forest Court, Forest Fair and Forest Lake Village where you’ll find everything that’s on your regular shopping list.

If you’re looking for playgroups, childcare, kindergartens or schools in this area, you’ll find them here.
