Mount Perry

Postcode: 4671

Mount Perry is a town in Perry Shire in southeastern Queensland, Australia. It is about 450 km northwest of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, and about 105 km west of Bundaberg.

It is a historically significant town of approximately 200 residents nestled in a valley near Mount Perry, the area’s highest mountain. There is one shop, one petrol station, one post office (with bank agency), one primary school, one horse standing at stud, two motels and one golf course—with sand greens (it’s too dry to maintain grass greens).

Gold mining is again, recently, an important industry in the area while the popular Mount Perry Races remains a fixture on the calendars of many people in the region.

Perry Shire is a small community, but one with a big heart. Its size allows for a safe and friendly lifestyle, where people of the community band together to help one another. This section of the site is about our community, here you can find information regarding our community groups, organisations, facilities and services.
