Roadvale

Postcode: 4310

Roadvale is a small village located in the Fassifern Valley, South east Queensland, Australia, some 10 kilometres north of the principal town Boonah and about 60 kilometres south west of the capital Brisbane.

It has a pub and a small general store in the main street, Gray Street, which is also the Roadvale-Kalbar road.

Roadvale is a great place to begin and end a very interesting tour of the valley which is the growing centre for many of the small crop products sold in South East Queensland and other areas.

Roadvale State School is a very family-orientated school. Younger siblings of students are a regular sight during morning group time for the whole school reading and numeracy programs. School community volunteers assist in the classroom and on the sporting field. Parents are encouraged to contribute their thoughts through P&C Meetings and regular newsletter survey. In the 2005 School Opinion Survey, 90% of parents reported that they believed Roadvale SS was a good school.

All students are known to all school-based staff and as a result there is a high level of one to one personal support both in class and in the playground. A visiting guidance officer is available to support both students and families. The school also has access to a district behaviour management support teacher.
