Tingalpa (Tin-gal-pa) is located near Manly West and Belmont, Queensland in the Eastern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It 9.5 km east of the Brisbane CBD.

The suburb also has some older style homes built in the post war period – weatherboard and chamferboard post war cottages in particular. Most of the new estates are made up of typically low set and high set brick and tile homes. Previously the land that is now being developed into residential zones was devoted to small farmlets and semi-industrial developments.

The recent developments, which occurred in the last 5 years, is increasing the population and the median house prices of the suburb. Proximity to the Gateway Motorway makes the suburb convenient for accessing the main routes to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Also convenient is the nearby Murrarie railway station that runs west to the City and east to Manly and the bay. There are also several bus routes from Tingalpa to neighbouring suburbs. There is a small local shopping centre located on Belmont Road. The closest major shopping centre is located at Carindale, which is near the suburbs of Belmont and Carindale.

Tingalpa has one primary school, Tingalpa State School, which currently has around 300 students. There are three high schools, Balmoral S.H.S, Wynnum S.H.S. and Wynnum North S.H.S, all within approximately 7 km of Tingalpa. Tingalpa features a large amount of parks and bushland. Well known Meadowlands Park and Minippi Park are located less than 5 minutes drive from Tingalpa.
