Woodside

Postcode: 5244

Woodside is a small town between Balhannah and Lobethal, 37km from Adelaide.

The Johnston family of Oakbank founded Woodside in the 1850s, primarily to improve their brewery business. The town was a useful traffic hub linking Oakbank, Lobethal and Charleston.

It is home to the Woodside Barracks (16th Air Defence Regiment) and the Melbas Chocolate Factory.
