Nietta
Located in the Devonport area of Tasmania, Nietta is in the Waratah/Wynyard local government area, and within the electoral seat of Braddon.
Nietta is a small rural community located in the Central Coast, in the North West region of Tasmania. The east boundary of the town consists of the Wilmot River and the Leven River forms much of the western boundary of the town.
The town is known for the Leven Canyon, it is stunningly wild yet easily accessible. A mostly easy track to the canyon takes you to the rim of a stunning canyon. This short loop around the Canyon will give you a picturesque view from the lookout located 275m above the Leven River. The river has cut through steep and forested country to form the canyon.
Nietta is 302 kilometres from the capital city of Hobart and can be reached within four hours of travel via Highland Lakes/A5 and National Highway 1.

At the 2021 national census, the population of 7315 (Including Nietta) was 15635 people. Out of those, 7490 were male and 8149 were female.
