Located in the Devonport area of Tasmania, Northdown is in the West Tamar local government area, and within the electoral seat of Braddon.

Northdown is a small rurality within Latrobe. North coast of Tasmania or more fondly known as the Cradle Coast Region.

In this picturesque coastal town tucked away among the rolling patchwork fields of Northern Tasmania, you’ll find Ghost Rock Wines. A must visit destination when exploring the town. This modern and vibrant Cellar and Vineyard offers wine tastings of their entire range of wine plus a modern Tasmanian lunch menu featuring local produce. The beautiful views of its vineyard in a rolling countryside, and view of the Bass strait make this place a popular hangout among tourists.

Northdown is 279 kilometres from the capital city of Hobart and can be reached within three and a half hours of travel time via National Highway 1.
