Located in the West Coast area of Tasmania, Parrawe is in the West Coast local government area, and within the electoral seat of Braddon.
Parrawe is a small rural village within Waratah/Wynyard in the north west of Tasmania.
If you love trekking, enjoy a short but lovely walk along the banks of the Hellyer River in north west Tasmania. The Hellyer Gorge trail is accessible via the Murchison Hwy and the rest area is a great place to stop and stretch your legs. Enjoy the pristine river gorge lined with ferns and tall trees with fungi and, if you’re lucky, you’ll see a platypus in the river.
Parrawe, TAS is 372 kilometres from the capital city of Hobart and can be reached within three and a half hours of travel time via X.

At the 2021 national census, the population of 7321 (Including Parrawe) was 4968 people. Out of those, 2535 were male and 2431 were female.
