Kyneton (pronounced /ˈkɑen.tən/) is a town on the Calder Highway in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Australia with a population of approximately 5,000.

The town has three main streets; these include Mollison Street, Piper Street and High Street. The railway station is a terminus for some peak hour trains. Its local government area is the Macedon Ranges Shire. At the 2001 census, Kyneton had a population of 4,108.

Kyneton is famous for its spectacular bluestone architecture, mineral springs, the meandering Campaspe River, lush botanic gardens and historic houses. Kyneton hosts several events during the year including the Kyneton Jazz Festival, Kyneton Daffodil Festival and the Kyneton Cup.
