Ultima, Victoria is a small town found approximately 30 kilometres from Swan Hill. Ultima, with a population of approximately 200 people, is located 353 kilometres north-west of Melbourne.

Originally the name of a pastoral run between 1850 and 1892, Ultima was created when the new owner, James O’Connor, subdivided the area into 1 square mile blocks, which were all auctioned in 1892.

In 2003, as a creative attempt to boost the population of the town, the Ultima Progress Association sold 11 blocks of land for a measly $1 each, on the conditions that the buyer started building within a year.

It is located within the Swan Hill local government area.
